Job title: Forklift operator/general labor:
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 11pm
Job Purpose:
Receive, store, and issue materials and other items from warehouse. Operate machinery such as a Propane Forklift, Electric Reach Truck and Electric Order Picker.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Drives sit-down and stand-up forklifts, and other industrial vehicles such as cherry-pickers and automated pallet jacks as needed.
- Load and unload freight on trailers using a motorized forklift, pallet jack
- Ensure the quality loading of all trailers
- Maintains clean work area. Pallet building and pallet picks.
- Stacks crates, or other material. Ensures the safe and efficient movement of goods.
- Follows safety regulations and company guidelines.
- Checks that loads are centered and properly stacked. Loading/Unloading/Receiving.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Experience: Previous warehouse experience. Prior experience as a forklift operator. Forklift certification.
Required: High school graduate or equivalent, plus minimum of 1 year experience.
- Problem Sensitivity – The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills
- Have proven ability to prioritize and organize

Physical and Environmental Elements:
This is primarily a warehouse classification, and employees work in a warehouse with moderate noise levels, uncontrolled temperature conditions and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances. The position bends, stoops, reaches, pushes and pulls objects to retrieve and file information and lifts and carries items that can weigh 5-75 pounds
This position is fully onsite at our Santa Fe Springs, CA location and has a pay range of $18.00-$19.00 per hour. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
